If you have been involved in a motor vehicle collision, you may have coverage through ICBC for physiotherapy and massage therapy treatment. PhysioActive will work with you and your adjuster to determine the appropriate treatment. Please bring your ICBC claim number and your ICBC adjuster contact information with you to your first visit.

WorkSafeBC

If you feel you have been injured at work, PhysioActive may be able to help you recover as we are part of the WorkSafeBC provider network. Before booking your appointment with us, please speak with your employer first in order to get your claim started so that we are able to assess your injury. Please bring your claim number with you to your first appointment to avoid delays.

 

 

As a WorkSafeBC patient, there is no cost to you for physiotherapy treatment.

Your first appointment?

You may have some questions if you have never been to our clinic before. Please have a read through the following and feel free to contact us if any questions remain.

Physiotherapy:

  • A doctor’s referral is not required to see a physiotherapist. If you have seen your doctor, please bring with you any information regarding diagnosis or previous treatment provided.

  • For your initial visit, please arrive 10 minutes early to fill out a few forms for your file.

  • Your initial visit will take approximately 60 minutes and will include a detailed history of your injury, a physical examination, an explanation of the physiotherapist’s diagnosis, as well as a treatment plan.

  • Please wear appropriate clothing as required, depending on your injury site. This might include a tank top for a shoulder injury or shorts for knee pain. PhysioActive gladly provides gowns and shorts if needed to expose the injured area while ensuring privacy.

  • Please bring a list of any medications you may be taking.

  • If your appointment is at 6:00 pm or later, the outside entrance to our building will be locked. Please enter code 0201 into the intercom and our reception staff will buzz you up. PhysioActive is also searchable within the intercom itself, so no need to memorize the code!

  • Confused about Physiotherapy vs. Physical Therapy? The truth is that they mean the same thing. Physiotherapy is a British term and Physical Therapy is an American term. In Canada, the two terms are used interchangeably.

Massage Therapy:

  • For your initial visit, please arrive 15 minutes early to fill out a few forms for your file.

Cancellation Policy

We ask that you please provide 24 hours notice if cancelling an appointment. We will gladly work with you to reschedule your appointment at a time that works best for you.
